In my opinion, one of Sierra's best works. This is Homeworld 2, a real-time strategy game of space combat between fleets of starships.

Unlike many games in the genre, this one is not based around capturing pieces of terrain or space to win. You will be supplied with a "Mothership" that is your primary means of construction. This ship, can move and fight on its own, although there are many ships that are better suited for the task.

Manage resources through mining asteroid fields that will become major points of contention as the enemy fleets begin to deplete their resources just as quickly as you do.

Research many many different classes of ships, new technologies and add-ons for those ships, and eventually build a fleet capable of assaulting the enemy shipyards. All the while fending off attacks from a full 360 degrees around you.

Getting into the camera, you'll have 100% control of it. watch your battles unfold around you as starfighters try to intercept bombers that are diving towards your capital ships which are in turn, attempting to ram through the enemy lines encroaching on you. Space is fully represented in the one, and you are able to send your ships high into space to take advantage of the sun that sits above your enemy, diving down at them completely obscured from view. Or hide directly beneath an asteroid field, waiting for vulnerable mining crews to expose themselves, crippling your enemy's economic production. Space is not flat here, remember that. Your enemies will use it against you.

2 different factions, many different ships, limitless strategic options.

This game is very cool in multiplayer, and has a very active modding community which has done some amazing work over the years this game has been out.

64 MB or faster GeForce 3 or Radeon 8500 that supports Transform and Lighting.
512 MB RAM or higher.
