One question. Is it STILL necessary to EDIT THE HOSTS FILE CORRECTLY??? I changed it from:

127.0.0.1 localhost

to:

127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com

If I want to keep it so I can access localhost to resolve to 127.0.0.1, what do I do? Would I set it to:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com

I mounted the iso via Virtual CloneDrive. I run the setup, say I want it as a trial, then proceed with the install, I then get a dialog saying "Insert disc into Drive E:" but the iso is mounted on the virtual drive E:

Any ideas?

To install
1. Disconnect from the internet.
2. Run KeyGen.
3. Run CS4 setup.
4. After install completes select Register Later.
5. Exit CS4 setup.
6. Run Activation Disabler.
7. Reconnect to the internet.

YOUR SERIAL CODES WILL FAIL IF YOU DO NOT EDIT THE HOSTS FILE CORRECTLY!!!!!

Adding 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com to your HOSTS file is to prevent the software phoning home and scraping your serial numbers

Edit the HOSTS file correctly and the software cannot phone home

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS AND IT WILL WORK FOR YOU INCLUDING CS4 UPDATES.

Please check the Activation Disabler added "127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com" to your HOST file. If not do it manually.

1) Browse to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
2) Right click "Notepad" and select "Run as administrator"
3) Click "Continue" on the UAC prompt
4) Click File -> Open
5) Browse to "C:WindowsSystem32Driversetc"
6) Change the file filter drop down box from "Text Documents (*.txt)" to "All Files (*.*)"
7) Select "hosts" and click "Open"
Make the needed changes(127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and close Notepad. Save when prompted.
9) Mark HOSTS file as "Read Only"....

kindly take the time to reread the read me file
1.if you use adobe bridge, photoshop or device central, run the crack.bat after completing the installation.
2.use the keygen when asked (or the serial from below)
3.pinging adobe doesnt mean anything so what are you wasting your time for?

4.Follow read me Instructionsexactly as it's written. have FUN

Great work. I had installed Adobe MC CS4 earlier and the x-factor pre-keygen was sufficient to allow me access to the programs. However, I had to enter a new serial number each time I ran a program (small price to pay for such powerful tools). I recently reformatted my comp and tried to reinstall Adobe MC CS4 but it no longer works the same way (i guess i had previously dled a different cracked version. i have tried to use the batch crack but it claims the "system is unable the locate the file specified". i am currently running Windows vista 64-bit. is there a compatibility issue between the crack and the 64-bit Windows?

I had a same problem with CS3 Suite, on Vista Home after few unsuccessful instalations, I install the Vista again (this time Ultimate version) and install suite without any problem. It looks that some progz are leaving trace in the system or are incompatible with Adobe programs....

Hey man.. thanks for the great upload.. but i've stumble on some problems.. i am using vista 64bit and i tried to use the crack but it says file not found.. and when i open photoshop, it asked me for a valid serial.. before this i already replace the .dll file in the photoshop folders... but it still doesn't work.. please advise..

many thanks for cs4 mazuki. however, after installation, it only asked me serial, i inserted one from the keygen, that successfully it accepted, but then it asked me to register. how do i completely bypass the registration or prevent (any or all) adobe files (exe or dll) connecting to server? i don't have a firewall as yet. please guide mazuki.

extract the files to your hard drive and it should work OK, be sure to download the additional instructions from my ISO fix

after extracting to your hard drive, replace the setup.xml file in the /payloads/ folder with the one in my additional instructions download and it will work

i have additional instructions 2kb as a rapidshare download in the comments of my fix, also, you should enable and logon as the "true" administrator in vista in order to solve most problems with torrent downloads
