VOATK 1.5 Vista SP1 + WS2008 SP1 Activation 32bit and 64bit [h33t] [Original]
DAz6666 have included various PC Makers Vista Activation kits in one file.

Easy to run instructions in each file. Install Vista, DO NOT INSTALL WITH SERIAL NUMBER (SO YOU ARE IN 30 DAY TRIAL MODE), make sure UAC is turned off (In Control Panel, Users) and you have Administrative rights.
If you have Winrar installed, right click on one of the files above and extract, then you will find 2 folders.
One for Perminent Activation (Must have SLIC in BIOS and use the correct Manufacturer File above.) this licences your vista, the same as Manufactures pre installs. To find out if you have SLIC in BIOS download Everest, run it select Motherboard then APCI, look on the right for SLIC entry. VOATK 1.5 does have Everest installed so it will run automatically for you to check, this was just in case you wanted to check before running install.
Second one for Emulated Activation (Doesn t matter what Manufacturer you select)
voatktoolsv.2.5_stand_alone Tool (For Removing Hacks and converting Retail to OEM plus much more, does not activate)
You can Activate Windows Vista as OEM, either Emulated BIOS SLIC 2 or Perminant if you have SLIC 2 in BIOS.
If you use emulated BIOS option (Vista Loader 2.1.2, then it doesn t matter what make of manufacturer you select.
If it is a Perminant BIOS activation then you must select your PC maker, as it has to match the SLIC table in your BIOS.
I have included voatktoolsv.2.5_stand_alone.zip, . Also it has many other features like removing previous Vista Hacks, which is essential for the above to work.
WS2008 SP1
If you want to activate Windows Server 2008 SP1, use Voatk tools 2.5 to convert to Vista Ultimate Licensing, then apply the activation files, again if you have SLIC in BIOS then use the correct Manufaturer if you don' t then you can use any manufaturer. Warning you will lose all server functions. But people have found this version faster than Vista SP1, just a matter of what you like.

Windows Server 2008 SP1 Activation Update. 15 April 2008
there is another way that has been reported that, bypasses Windows Server 2008 sp1 activation and you keep your server functions as well as workstaion features. good chance it works on Vista as well, although you don t have server functions in vista, so you better off with the exploits before this one above for vista.

VOATK 1.5 Activation on Windows Server 2008 (Restore Areo)
At this point my WS2008 became activated, but Aero was disabled for some reason... so here's how to fix that:
1. download:

2. open up windows services and stop the Desktop Window Manager service
3. go into windows/system32 and rename dwm.exe to something else (just in case this doesn't work you can change it back)
--if it doesn't allow you to change the name, go to properties>security>advanced>owner>edit
select user, press ok
then go to permissions, select same user and click edit, give yourself full control over the file... now you should be able to rename
4. copy the downloaded file dwm.exe into your system32 folder
5. go to windows services and restart dwm, aero should turn back on for you
