Unlocker description

Get rid of error message like Error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it's being used by another person or program

Unlocker application was designed to be a very useful Windows Explorer extension allowing users with a simple right-click on a file or folder to easily get rid of error message such as error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it's being used by another program

Helps delete locked files with error messages like:
? Cannot delete file: Access is denied
? There has been a sharing violation.
? The source or destination file may be in use.
? The file is in use by another program or user.
? Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

· Fixed bug: Unlocker should not create event logs anymore
· Fixed bug: Unlocker should not take minutes to close on certain configurations anymore
· Fixed bug: Unlocker should not lock DLLs not used by Unlocker anymore

· Improved behavior: Improved deleting/renaming/moving files such as C:WINDOWSsystem32MacromedFlashFlash9e.ocx for example
· Improved behavior: When right-clicking files or folders and selecting Unlocker, those are automatically deselected. It helps with movie files and removable drives
· Improved UI: Icon looks correct now on Windows Vista
· Promotional feature: Added fully optional shortcuts to eBay during the installation. Simply untick "eBay shortcuts" in the choose components page during install if you do not wish to have those

Yup, it is freeware, and something that I stumbled across 5 months ago and have loved ever since. You can get it here or at the homepage: http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ Whichever way you get it, and you SHOULD get it, be sure to donate to the designer. It's absolutely worth more than that 6-pack you were going to buy (actually, BOTH beer AND donations will be money well spent!). And no, I don't sell beer, and have no connection with Unlocker other than the pleasure of using it. As to the comment, "just an extra waste of bandwidth", this is a TINY program. Perhaps 17 seconds here OR from its homepage. aNDYpANDY did not misrepresent the program. On the contrary, he did our community a service by bringing it to the attention of those who didn't already know about it. In fact, by listing it, he reminded me to update my old version. Thanks.

Why is it suppose to be always pirated sofware, me the other day I needed this program but never had time to look for it and forgot about it. Now just in front of me THANKS great up. I just never understand why anyone wants to upload freeware as a torrent. Great program, but just an extra waste of bandwidth.

Not picking on you at all andypandy, and you did real good listing the version. I only know of the newer version (the one you've posted), as my v1.8.6 popped up (a good while ago) to let me know there was a newer version at the site. So, download v1.8.7, the newest one, directly from their site. It's free, and will download in mere seconds since it's rather small. http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
