of complete and accurate 2D drawing creation. The DimXpert supports geometric
dimensions and tolerances according to the ASME Y14.41-2003 3D specification.

Large Assembly Management Tools

SolidWorks 2008 allows users to work with large assemblies faster than ever with a
new set of high-powered tools for large assembly management. New tools allow you
to simplify assemblies without the need for configurations and regardless of the
assembly structure. New Quick View/Selective Open functionality allows users to
quickly view large assemblies and then, on-the-fly, select components to work
without having to load unnecessary components in to memory. Additional components
can be accessed at anytime with a simple right mouse button selection.

Design Clipart

SolidWorks Search will locate any SolidWorks or DWG file whether in the Design Library,
on the network, in PDMWorks, or in 3D ContentCentral on the web. This search is not
just filename based, but also searchable in metadata (like notes in drawings or custom
properties). Bottom line -- users find what they are looking for the first time.
New in SolidWorks 2008, Design Clipart allows users to reuse views, blocks, tables,
and even images from AutoCAD files as well as sketches and features from SolidWorks

files and extracts data so it is reusable in new SolidWorks designs. Users no longer

and springs based on time. With a single setup, users can now see how an
assembly moves and how components interact, create presentations, and obtain

The MAGNITUDE version of sw2008-sp1 comes with a dll file "ibfs32.dll". I scanned it on virustotal.com and I got these results below. The question is can these be false-positives? ie, how high is the risk? If u know plz add comment. Thanks bigbongo... I will look for that. I dont think my torrent is a NOPE because I've seen many of them SP0.0 and usually they say that if they are NOPE. The difference is this one works, I have seen no restrictions so-far after two weeks of use, and I am using it as we speak. Hope it will help someone in need for a good CAD tool. The other one I am looking for is Inventor from Autodesk. I heard it is great and easy to use. Thanks again for ur replies... /xplorer

They're ok. It means you can download using a bunch of trackers...some may be active and some not, some may require a membership. BTW, this torrent you're talking about has the update SP1 for Solidworks 2008. The SP1.1 update hasn't appeared yet Look for a MAGNITUDE release of SW2008 and you'll find the true SP0 with a size of about 5.16GB.

1. Thank you for the explanation about NOPE. 2. Now I need some advise from the experts here: I was looking thru my old saved torrents and I come across one for "sw2008-sp1" by MAGNITUDE, size about 1.79 GB... I am trying to download now, but the list of trackers is as follow and the download is low. FYI Unfortunately, the service pack doesn't work with the NOPE release. The NOPE release apparently was downloaded off the Solidworks website before the official release date. This is a normal event to give distributors and other vendors a bit of lead time ahead of the final release. But historically, these early web releases cannot be upgraded. I guess they want to stop the pre-release use so any last minute changes will be included. That's all I know about this. Meanwhile, this is a great upload.

I want to add that I don't know what the NOPE release is. Also, the installation was easy: I had No trouble getting the installer to accept the key for sw office premium and all the addin's. Also that u talk about new service pack but it is not available here yet. So if u have it, it is great if u can upload it here. Thanks... /xplorer

Truth be told, I just downloaded this myself and installed it. Have not tried to upgrade it yet, but I will try and let u know. I have worked with it for a little while and went thru some tutorials and no problems at all, runs smoothly, very user and PC friendly... I am sure someone will come up with a fix to the upgrade issue mentioned here. If I find it i will post it here. Plz note: i will seed this till someone has 100% of it and then others must take over the seeding when I am offline... Many Thanks for the comments. /xplorer

I think the full release of Solidworks Premium 2008 is about 5.16 GB. This version may be the NOPE release which runs on XP with some issues but cannot be upgraded (SP1.1 is out).
