The Anatomy of Melancholy Double DVD Set
Paradise Lost were formed in 1988 in Halifax, England.
Along with countrymates Anathema and My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost are credited with creating the subgenre known as Death/Doom. Their first three full-length albums (although the latter two incorporated some melodic and gothic elements) are considered prime examples of this style. However, with the release of the seminal albums Icon (1993) and Draconian Times (1995), Paradise Lost also became known as pioneers of the Gothic metal subgenre. In accordance with the change in musical approach, vocalist Nick Holmes changed his singing style. He used a death grunt on the band's first three albums, but on Icon refined his voice to have a cleaner tone.

Publisher's Product Description:
Quote:
| Two DVD set. On April 12th 2007, UK Gothic Metal pioneers Paradise Lost played a sold-out show at the Koko club in the heart of Camden, London to record a DVD. Fans and media from all over the world came to the beautiful Baroque style venue to celebrate a band that, 20 years since its conception in 1988, is still one of the most exciting bands of their self-defined genre. Guitarist Greg Mackintosh comments: "It is also our first live album in the history of Paradise Lost! It incorporates pretty much every era of our career. Jens Borgen has mixed the DVD and in my opinion he did a sterling job with the mix. It has so much energy to it and you can really feel the atmosphere of this special night! Also Seths' artwork is beautiful as always. For us this is definitely a great way to celebrate our 20th anniversary." |

**I cannot take credit for these files. I believe they are a scene release. Anyhow, I noticed that the DVDs aren't present on RockBox--just thought I'd share. Speeds will be slow until there are more seeders. Enjoy!
