- Run the winamp v5.551Pro installer file
- When installation is complete, run the Winamp Program. complete all the required setup procedures therin.
- NEXT... go to options ---> preferences ---> Winamp pro. To the right of the setup tree, you'll see "enter registration key"; click on it.
- Open / run the keygen provided.
- Where it says "name" in the keygen; you can type in your own name or leave it as it is and when finished with choosing / inputting a name, click on the generate button.
- copy & paste both the name & reg key in the keygen in the respective fields of the winamp pro registration window. Then click "O.K"
- YOU'RE DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ENJOY!

I have this torrent on a number of sites, on one of them I had someone say that they had some problems with using the keygen included in this torrent. So.................. if you are one of those individuals with the same problem, then this is for you.
Well, I did my research. Thank you jin545 for letting me know of the problem(s) you experienced with this download. By sharing your experience, you have probably helped a lot of downloaders.
For everyone experiencing problems with the use of the keygen included:
The message you are getting in French, simply translated means "the registered PC username is not valid" - or something close......
This results in instances where there is an unrecognized character or space in the registered PC username.
In order to "fix" this problem you have two options :
[1] Use this link to download another keygen. As I understand, this keygen works. However I do not know that is 100% clean.
So, you can go get it at your own risk. Here's the link:

[2] The second option is that you change the registered username on your PC - I will give you step by step instructions on how to do this.
Anyone choosing this option, I urge you to follow the steps given here. I do not want you screw up your PC - and then blame me. Okay here we go......
HOW TO CHANGE A REGISTERED USERNAME ON A PC:
1. Click the Start Button & Select "Run"
2. Type "Regedit" in the prompt. The Registry Editor should appear.
3. Browse to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
using the small plus signs next to the headings (see Figure 2)
4. To change the name of the registered owner:
* In the right pane, double-click "RegisteredOwner". Under Value data, type the name that
you want, and then click OK.
5. Change the value (name) at the prompt shown highlighted. Please ensure that you do not put any
specia symbols such as '!', '@', '#','$", etc. Also ensure that the name used is one complete word/
phrase [no spaces]. - This is mainly written in for use with the DFX V9.xxxxx audio enhancer keygen.
If however, you are not going to use the keygen, I suppose any name you desire will suffice.
Now for the warnings involved with tinkering with the registry - I consider it my duty to inform you of a couple of the risks involved.
Warnings
* Edits to the registry of a Windows Machine are very dangerous. Never delete or edit
any value, key, etc. unless you know exactly what it does. A single deleted key or
changed value can cause your computer to crash completely and fail to boot. It may
be recommended that you completely reinstall the Operating System rather than attempt
to edit your registry.
* Licensing is a very specific and complicated legal matter which has different rules
and guidelines for each type of machine. Do not assume that what is true for one
machine in your home is true for another. Some licenses are non-transferable, especially
if the machines were purchased through government or non-profit channels. Changing or
using a Windows license for home use from these channels is illegal in most cases.
