The band split up in November 2003.

Originally formed under the name Warthorn.

Quote:
Formed as Warthorn in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1986 by Hart Bachmier. Moved to Edmonton in 1987, lineup: Hart: vocals, guitar, Dean Relf: drums.
Recorded demo tape Cthulu and recorded song 'Aggressor' for Rubber Records vinyl comp album Writing On Stone. Rubber Records was a small indie label by a CJSR DJ. The song was later reworked as 'Vindictor' for the second album.
First album Power Trap recorded in Ottawa in 1988 and released by Toronto alt label Fringe in 1989. Lineup now includes Maurice Williams on guitar. He would later leave and join Process in Vancouver. Album was produced by the band but remixed by the label for initial pressings on vinyl and tape. This first mix was unsolicited by the band and it was later re-pressed on CD under the original band preferred mix as the 'Brutal Remix' (times listed below). Art was done by Steve Chandler.

Quote:
Second album on Fringe is called Ominous Prophecy, produced by Ron Chenier (Fist). Lineup now includes Wes Sontag on guitar. Art was done again by Steve Chandler.

Quote:
A cover of Kiss' 'Strange Ways' was included in demo sessions. Guitarist Maurice Williams went to Vancouver band Process and was replaced by Wes Sontag (Section VIII, Westudios). Bassist Chris Chapman was replaced by Colin Post. OP was produced by Ron Chenier.
Third lp/cs/cd Invincible Enemy was put out on Fringe 1993 with art by Thorazine singer Shane Hawco (aka Drifter) .

Quote:
Fourth lp/cs/cd Mechanikill was put out independently on their own label Mindtgash Records in 1996.

Quote:
An 11 minute remix of song 'Mechanikill' by Shane Handford of Sangsara/ subNetMask/ex-Voice Industrie was put on indie release 'Mind Compression' CD, an Edmonton band comp by campus radio CJSR's Metal John in 1999.

Sideband Dead Mans Train was formed in the mid-1990s as a cover band originally but now has it's own catalog under their own label. Click here to view in iTunes.
Shane Hawco from Calgary band Thorazine was briefly recruited as DOP vocalist during 1997 after Hart's throat had had enough. Hart returned to vocal duties in 1998. In 2000, bassist Andy Smith joined. In 2006, the band recorded a new album 'In Dust We Trust' consisting of 8-songs with pre-production done at guitarist's Wes Sontag's own Westudios, production by Ron Chenier, with art by drummer Dean Relf & DJ Tsanger Banger.

Quote:
In 2004, guitarist Wes Sontag reformed new band Section VIII and recorded a CD with Shane Hawco on vocals and Dean Relf on drums. DOP's first two albums were reissued on CD in limited amounts with bonus tracks, drummer Dean Relf formed WarMarch with the Painkiller guitarist. In 2006, Hart Bachmier formed a new lineup for DMT. In 2007, the band re-released the first 4 albums on limited tape quantities. In 2008, the band contributed a track to a new NHR Records compilation due in 2009. Also in 2008, Dean's son has formed a band called Ink Head and will be playing around Edmonton.

This one is their sophomore studio album released back in 1992.
