MS Windows Vista and 7 Ultimate BIOS Modification SLIC 2.0 and 2.1 Activations [h33t] [Original]

This kit is by no means for novice computer individuals. This kit is for people who know what they are doing and can follow instructions to the dot. I will not be liable for mistakes you make. This activation method is obviously a lot more risky that the other ones I have posted. If incorrectly done, it could permanently destroy your motherboard.
With that being said, I will discuss a few of the PROS and CONS of this method here.
The advantages of this activation method is that the SLIC 2.1 will be incorporated into your BIOS. There will not be another partition that will be added during boot to emulate the BIOS like all of the loaders that are out there. It makes life very easy. All you would have to do after every reformat would be to simply type:
slmgr.vbs -ilc OEM.XRM-MS (where OEM.XRM-MS is a valid OEM cert matching with SLIC 2.1 in BIOS)
slmgr -ipk 22TKD-F8XX6-YG69F-9M66D-PMJBM
This will activate your Windows 7 Ultimate Permanently. Remember flashing your BIOS always brings on some risk so please carefully access them before continuing.
I personally have gone this route because (don't quote me on this) Microsoft will not be able to detect this method. Where as emulation could eventually be discovered by MS via Updates or Genuine Advantage. With this method, I could simply change the key if need be.
I will include the instructions in this description and as a MS Word DOC in the torrent. All the necessary tools and files are included in this torrent - minus your actual BIOS which you should obtain from the manufacturers website.
DELL PC's can not use this method. This will work for any AMI or AWARD BIOS. Do a search on your motherboard and it should not be hard to find out which type you have. All other motherboards running other BIOS are out of luck for now.
With that being said, the process is rather simple and straight forward.
1. First, I want to thank AndyP for providing these wonderful tools for us to use.
2. This is Only for Those Who Have AMI or AWARD Bios. These Tools will not work with Phoenix Bios. - Check with the Official Web Pages below for updates which are frequent.
3. To help you with the Differences, there are basically 3 bios - AMI - Award and Phoenix. Phoenix makes all 3 versions and each has its own way of doing things.
4. Download the Appropriate Bios Directly from your Motherboard's Manufacturer website. Do not trust or use third party websites. Only download directly from the motherboard manufacturer's website. Trust me, you will regret going through many third party websites.
5. Download and install WinRar:

- if your bios comes in an executable format (.EXE), winrar is able to unzip the files by right clicking on the file and choose WINRAR - EXTRACT HERE.
6. Extract the SLICS v2.0 and v2.1, SLP and Certifications from their files
7. Now you are ready to modify your bios which is easy with AndyP's Bios Modification Tools for Award and AMI Bios.
8. Assuming you have downloaded all the elements above and have unzipped your bios file in winrar if needed, open your Mod Tool by right clicking on it and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

9. Click the button by ORIGINAL BIOS and navigate to your bios file and click it.
10. Next, choose the manufacturer....if your manufacturer does not show, choose OTHER.
11. Choose SLIC. For those who only want to activate Windows Vista, choose SLIC v2.0. For those who want to activate Windows Vista and Windows 7, choose a SLIC v2.1
12. Choose SLP. If you choose a DELL SLIC, also choose a DELL SLP. This can be left blank.
13. Next, choose the certificate. The BIOS and the Certificate have to match. The tools will let you know if they do match or if they do not match.
14. As far as METHOD is concerned, let the tool choose default method.
15. Click GO and let the tool do its work.
16. After it finishes it will say it is successful or not and if you want to verify the successful modifications, click VERIFY. For those who have AWARD BIOS, this will show an checksum error. This is natural and do not let it bother you.
17. Now flash your bios according to the suggestion of your motheboard manufacturer's recommendations.

I do not know if Phoenix BIOS will ever be supported because it is specific for each machine, each version is a competely new code and it is dangerous to change BIOS code without standarts. Other BIOS follow patterns and fixed positions of types and coding making them easy to modify and recode!  |
