Band Info:

Quote:
Steel Attack has been working as a band since 1997. But since that time they had a totally different line-up then the band got today. The band started out with Dennis and the former lead singer and bass player Steve Steel in 1995.

Even the band name at that time was different but ended up being changed to Steel Attack in 1997 due to too many coming and going members. Next to join was Andreas de Vera who took the drum part in the band from Steve who was the drummer back then. And for the first release "Where Mankind Fails" 1999 (AFM Records) and the second album "Fall into Madness" 2001 (AFM Records) Steve was doing the lead vocal and the bass parts in the band. Just a few weeks before the first release Andreas decided to leave the band and was replaced by Roger Raw who was and still is a great friend to the band. He stayed for a year and appears as the drummer for the "Fall into Madness"album. But after the W.O.A 2000 and some other gigs he told the band that he would stay only as long as it would take them to get hold of another drummer (back then Roger was a single parent and had to quit).
Andreas moved back to Sala the band´s hometown and got back in the band as a drummer in the end of 2000. Dick joined the band as the lead vocalist in the end of November 2000 so Steve decided to just take the back vocal parts.

Later, Steve decided to leave the band at the end of July of 2001. He told the band that because he was a drummer from the beginning and still is the drummer in the band Carnal Forge he wanted to focus completed. After some auditions the band found the replacement for Steve's bass and back vocal parts in the mad bass player Patrick in September 2001. Another change in the line-up came when Andreas decided to leave Steel Attack. Some auditions later, the band got to be a complete line-up with the drummer Mike Stark.

The band has done several gigs with everything from US to Europe and the last big event was the Sweden Rock Festival 2002.

Steel Attack has also recorded a cover version of the Helloween song ``Dr Stein´´ which appeared on the tribute album The Keepers of Jericho Part II (Arise Records).

The band entered at Studio Underground in November 2002 for the recording of their third album "Predator Of The Empire".The album was produced by Pelle Saether/Steel Attack and mastering was done by Peter In De Betou."Predator Of The Empire" contains 10 Heavy Metal hymns with high quality production and songwriting.Cover artwork was painted by the wellknown illustrator J.P.Fournier.
