Exoto formed back in 1989; they hail from Mol, Antwerp (Belgium) and after releasing three demos and one single in the early nineties they released their debut full-length, Carnival of Souls, through Tessa Records in 1994.
One year later they released their sophomore album called A Thousand Dreams Ago through Black Mark Production.
Their first drummer Didier Mertens died in a car accident on 10.04.1994. RIP.
After releasing their second full-length they split up.

This one is their debut album released in 1994: expect 12 awesome tracks of technical old school death metal madness with heavy guitars, audible bass lines, varied drumming, many tempo changes, from blastbeats to up tempos to slowdowns to doom passages to mid tempo ones, melodic passages here and there, harmonized guitars parts, guitar solos, thrash metal influences, double bass drum parts, technical passages, great songwriting, brutal parts, many progressive parts and influences, sudden accelerations, moshy parts, some acoustic passages, old school production and more.
The vocals consist in some nice evil mid-range rasps.
Trust me, this is some fuckin' great shit guys, a real underground jewel: imho, one of the best death metal albums of all time!
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Enjoy Boxers!!!
