CF are one of the legends of the black metal, with huge influence on black, death and doom metal.

Elusive rehearsals and live material from these legends of black metal as well as a variety of other stuff.
The first 5 tracks are supposedly a demo from 1985, but no demo was ever recorded in 1985. Instead, the first 4 tracks are a higher generation copy of the original mixes of "Emperor's Return", which now appear properly on the "Morbid Tales" remastered edition.
The version of "Journey Into Fear" on this release is also the original mix (which remains unreleased).
"Return to the Eve" is a poorer dub of the "Tragic Sernades" version/Party Mix (now on the "TMT" remaster).
The second set of tracks, 6 - 11, are rehearsals from the summer of 1984. The first track, "Celtic Thunder", is actually CF starting out by playing the first few seconds of Hellhammer's "Aggressor", then turning into an instrumental version of "Extermination Day" by Angel Witch.
"Into the Crypts of Rays" is an instrumental version similarly found on other CF rehearsal tapes, but it could be yet another version.
"Nocturnal Fear" has vocals, with some slight alterations in the lyrics (again, similar to the version found of on other CF rehearsal sessions).
"Procreation" is instrumental, as well.
"Messiah" is a rehearsal with vocals.
"The 3rd and Storm" is a track which starts off with CF doing the opening riffs of AC/DC's "Hell's Bells", then brief riffs from another unknown song, and finally doing a few minutes of "The Third of Storms (Evoked Damnation)", which is an instrumental version.
The last 4 tracks are from CF live in San Diego, June 15th, 1986 - likely sourced from the VHS bootleg.
Sound quality is not so good from track 5 to 17
