i put this on my vista added my password then could not find the controls then ever time i opened my com no downloads in my utorrents so i too my comp back 2 factory settings without yousing my password ended up with a brand new computer with a bit of dust on it

If anyone did what I did by mistake and installed the workstation file then the password = t$$!h Maybe I should have read the documentation before hand. Anyway, for anyone that was having problems unfreezing that setup file that is all there is to it.

migel thanks for the response. I do know the basics though. The problem is, the program installed and rebooted without ever letting me set up a password. After it rebooted, there was NO tray icon, then i pressed Ctr-Alt-Shift-F6 and it prompted for a password ("Enter password: "

which I had never even created! The next logical thing was to try blank password, but that didn't work either. It just kept prompting for the damn password!!!
So, basically, from the moment I ran the installation, I had lost control of my system.

I did some research and found out that many people experience the same bug with cracked versions of Deep Freeze. I tried a few different cracked versions, all behaving identically, taking over my system. Every time I had to restore the whole partition.
Now I have the trial version of DF from their website installed, and the thing is working very well, it let me set up a password and everything else...

I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who had the problem (but not everyone has it), so I just want to warn future users of this program to be careful.
