“I’m an evolutionary biologist and a Christian,” states Stanford professor Joan Roughgarden at the outset of her groundbreaking new book, Evolution and Christian Faith: Reflections of an Evolutionary Biologist. From that perspective, she offers an elegant, deeply satisfying reconciliation of the theory of evolution and the wisdom of the Bible.
Perhaps only someone with Roughgarden’s unique academic standing could examine so well controversial issues such as the teaching of intelligent design in public schools, or the potential flaws in Darwin’s theory of evolution. Certainly Roughgarden is uniquely suited to reference both the minutiae of scientific processes and the implication of Biblical verses. Whether the topic is mutation rates and lizards or the hidden meanings behind Saint Paul’s letters, Evolution and Christian Faith distills complex arguments into everyday understanding. Roughgarden has scoured the Bible and scanned the natural world, finding examples time and again, not of conflict, but of harmony. The result is an accessible and intelligent context for a Christian vision of the world that embraces science. In the ongoing debates over creationism and evolution, Evolution and Christian Faith will be seen as a work of major significance, written for contemporary readers who wonder how—or if— they can embrace scientific advances while maintaining their traditional values.

Yes. I read your comment and it is quite telling. "Potholes". So are the "books" you post as well. You can lie and deny all you want, but that doesn't change the facts. Any discussion would be a total waste of time. I'm just stating facts. You state nonsense.
You really are a joke. A sad one at that. |

wow, wow, wow. wtf? pseudo science? Didn't even say I was a creationist but hey wtf lets assume so. If I haven't told you this before and I can see I have, the forums are the place to discuss stuff.

| Also, you really should know about what evolution is and isn't before opening your mouth since it is quite apparent that you don't have a clue about it. |
I know what I speak of. You seem to be the kind of guy who judges people before he even meets them. Did you even read my whole comment or the book?
Quote:
| There is nothing more intellectually dishonest than a creationist. |
Except an American corporation (I'm sure you have an opinion about that as well)
Now if you read my last comment I directed you to the forums where you can say whatever you want about the books I upload. |

| BTW, did you know that Dr. Behe had to admit, under oath, that he made up all of his evidence for intelligent design. There is nothing more intellectually dishonest than a creationist. |

I'm sure that you can come with with books on any topic, but that is the difference. Legitimate science is always peer reviewed and the crackpots are weeded out eventually.
I'm only interested in facts, not the pseudo-science you prefer. |

Waste of time when all I have to say can be said right here.
Actually there are no real "potholes" in evolution overall. And if you haven't noticed the theory itself has evolved over the century and a half since. You really should get up with the times instead of trying to refute something with long out of date arguments. There is enough real world evidence that proves that evolution is indeed real. The same sort that also proves the theory of gravity is real as well. It doesn't have to be 100%. If you understood how science works you would see this.
Also, you really should know about what evolution is and isn't before opening your mouth since it is quite apparent that you don't have a clue about it. Creationists count on such ignorance. If you will notice is that they spend far more effort on trying to refute evolution than they do on trying to prove creationism. |

Dude if I haven't pointed out the forum to you then please go there and tell me what you think of the eBooks I upload. Open a thread in the 'books and audio books' section about whatever flaws you see in an authors work that I upload. I'm sure you'll get a discussion there.
There are more then a few potholes in Darwin's work and I'm sure tomorrow's upload will cause some controversy.

What many don't realize is that Evolution has nothing to do with the origin of life so it doesn't conflict with religion.
Darwin, himself, said;
Quote:
| "I see no good reasons why the views given in this volume should shock the religious sensibilities of anyone." |
-- Charles Darwin, The Origin Of Species, 1869.
Creationists, and the proponents of so-called "intelligent design", don't want people to know this fact because it blows their entire argument out of the water.
BTW, overall there are no major flaws in the theory of evolution. It is so much a fact of nature that it is the entire basis of modern biology. Even the Church has declared it a fact of nature as well. |
